Working hand and hand with children who have Intensive Treatment Needs or those whose behavior is uncontrollable, unpredictable or dangerous can be one of the most challenging aspects of working with dually-diagnosed disabilities. Children and young adults with severe behavioral issues need the added benefit of a secure residential facility while still receiving therapeutic care and attention.. Finding caregivers who understand this is critical.

The goal of both our Intensive Treatment Needs and Private Secure Units is not to keep our residents in a restrictive setting, but to significantly decrease the identified inappropriate behaviors, improve social and self-care skills and develop functional skills in hopes of transitioning them to a less restrictive setting as soon as possible.
