IIDTC INDIANAPOLIS--NEW SERVICE OFFERINGS
IDTC is scheduled to open another 10 bed group home for children on September 12, 2006. The home is called Barbano Court and will be devoted to serving our young ladies with intensive needs in a beautiful community setting. IDTC is scheduled to open another group home, which will be its fourth, in the near future.
The Indianapolis main facility is in the process of reconfiguring its units, staffing, and management to add an additional service—Diagnostic and Evaluation. The purpose of this program is to provide a comprehensive 90-day assessment in all areas of the child’s functioning, and provide a report and recommendations to the referring agency.
Formal transitional services are also being planned for implementation in the near future, both for the children that live with us residentially, and for the children coming for diagnostic and evaluation services.
IDTC LAFAYETTE—“FORGIVE OUR DUST!”
IDTC-Lafayette recently broke ground for the addition of the new Education Building. Although this project may be a bit disruptive, this is an exciting time, and the new building will enable us to better serve children currently in residential placement in the Center and group homes, as well as to accommodate children coming for Day School Services. So please, DO, “Forgive our Dust” as we make every effort to design and provide a building to better serve the needs of the children and young adults we serve.
IDTC-Lafayette also recently opened the Sonoma Court group home in the community, and is scheduled to open another one soon! Sonoma Court group home is licensed to serve 10 children, and all of them seem to love their new home!
