The Social Services Department is comprised of Masters Level Clinicians/Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and Case Managers.
Our Social Workers function as the children's primary therapists, responsible for providing individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family counseling/therapy, individualized Behavior Management Plans, child management training, and staff education. The Social Workers also coordinate all aspects of the residents’ Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs). This includes maintaining family, county, collateral and court contacts, supervising the ITPs and facilitating discharge planning.
The Social Services Department also includes psychological and psychiatric staff, who assist in developing and implementing the ITPs and behavioral intervention strategies. A full-time psychologist is on staff and functions as a Behavior Specialist, developing, implementing, reviewing and evaluating specifically prescribed Behavior Management Plans. The Psychologist is also available for consultation to the Social Workers, and is available for formal diagnostic evaluations. Consulting Psychiatrists provide psychiatric diagnostic evaluation and medication review and monitoring.
