April is nationally recognized as Autism Awareness Month. IDTC-Indianapolis Warner School Eagles and IDTC-Lafayette’s T.C. Harris School Wildcats are gearing up once again to join in these efforts. The Autism Support Team at both schools will be providing Tips and Facts sheets to further educate all employees and visitors about Autism Spectrum Disorders during this time.
The Team also wants to further educate current students about Autism Awareness. Student volunteers are being recruited to assist with a fundraising drive. Students will be conducting research, designing posters, selling candy and workplace incentives to employees in the effort to raise money for Autism Awareness.
All proceeds will be donated to the Autism Society of Indiana. We really look forward to educating the public about Autism and exceeding last year’s donations of over $1,100!
